Sports Nutrition course is to give you all the knowledge that you will require in not one but two fields: a detailed knowledge and understanding of sports nutrition, and the expertise required to create a successful sports nutrition business. This course has been designed to equip you with the tools you will need to realise your ambition. It is important to recognise that Sports Nutrition is relevant to everybody, as part of a healthy active lifestyle, not just athletes and celebrities. Students will learn how to communicate with your clients before explaining how to select the correct supplements, based on each client’s individual needs.

The above mentioned course is self study and self paced programs and have been designed in a manner for you to be able to finish in 100 – 120 hours.

Are there any classes?

The courses have been designed in a very detailed yet simple manner. There are no classes and all these nutrition courses are self-study, self placed, distance-learning programs.

What if I need some help with a topic?

As mentioned before, these are extremely detailed and simple to understand. One of the reasons whey they are so affordable as they are not tutor led. Our assessors are always willing to give feedback in case they feel, you have not grasped a topic, when they see their answer sheet.

How long is the certificate valid for?

The certificate is valid for lifetime.

How long do I have to finish this course? How long does it take to finish this course?

Usually our learners take an average of 12 – 14 weeks to finish these courses. On an upper limit, we provide our learners 12 months.

Is there an exam?

Yes, there is an exam (home based). It is a mix of MCQS (Multiple choice questions) and short answer type. You have to complete and submit via email.

What is the assessment criteria?

At FSSA, we believe in learning and improving at every conjuncture. In MCQs you have to score minimum 80% or above and complete all short answers 100%. In case there is some feedback on short answers, our competent assessors shall send you detailed feedback and you will simply have to resend the completed assessment. There is no fee for this.

Can I provide counseling to clients? What do I call myself? What is my scope of practice?

Yes, upon completing any or all of these courses you may consult clients and charge a professional fee(s).

• Never diagnose and/or prescribe.
• Keep up to date with developments in the nutrition field
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Avoid misleading information
• Comply with relevant legislation
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Be objective, fair, balanced and proportionate in professional statement or recommendations made
• Maintain highest standards od conduct and behaviour in all areas of business/life
• Where requires and appropriate, maintain accurate client records including evidence of having gained informed consent
• Always refer to a specialist when in doubt
• Do not call yourself a dietician but a nutrition advisor/counselor
• Do not deal with clients who have eating disorders, instead refer to a specialist
